As of April 3, 2025, Spain has implemented a new legal framework known as the MASC (Adequate Means of Dispute Resolution), as mandated by Organic Law 1/2025. This initiative is aimed at transforming the judicial landscape in Spain by requiring parties involved in civil and commercial disputes to engage in alternative dispute resolution methods before such cases can be filed in court.
